Hyper Founder's BMX Debuts SolidSafe Power Banks
So, there's a new player in the power bank game, and it's not just another generic gadget. This company, BMX (Better Mobile Xperience, if you're curious), is rolling out its SolidSafe power banks after a successful Kickstarter campaign. What makes these different? Well, they're touting semi-solid state batteries.
Now, I know what you might be thinking: "Semi-solid state? What's the big deal?" The claim is that these batteries last twice as long and are safer than the usual lithium-ion packs we're used to. Considering all the recalls we've seen recently, with even the FAA and airlines getting involved, that safety aspect is pretty appealing. I, for one, wouldn't mind a power bank that doesn't have the potential to turn into a spicy pillow in my backpack.
What’s even more interesting is the person behind BMX: Daniel Chin, the same guy who founded Sanho, the company responsible for those Hyper accessories that Apple fans have been drooling over for years. Knowing Chin's track record, it's fair to assume that these SolidSafe power banks might be worth a closer look. He has a knack for creating quality gadgets.
These new powerbanks are looking quite promising. I mean, who wouldn't want a battery that lasts longer and doesn't pose a fire hazard? It's a win-win, in my book, and I'm looking forward to seeing how these devices perform in real-world scenarios.
