Notion Offline

Finally! Notion now works offline, letting you view and edit notes without internet

Apps

For ages, one of the biggest headaches with Notion was its reliance on the internet. You simply couldn't do much if you were offline, which was a real pain when traveling or dealing with spotty connections. But guess what? Notion has finally rolled out offline support across its apps! It's about time, right?

The company themselves admitted that this was one of the most requested features, and honestly, I'm not surprised. Now, you can view, edit, and even create notes without being connected to the web on both your desktop and mobile devices. Plus, you can download specific pages for offline viewing. It's a game-changer for productivity on the go.

Once you're back online, all your changes will sync seamlessly. Of course, there are a few limitations. Things like embeds, forms, and buttons still need an internet connection to function properly. But overall, it's a huge step forward.

If you're a subscriber to Notion's Plus, Business, or Enterprise plans, you'll get an extra perk: automatic downloads of your recently viewed and favorite pages. You can easily manage or disable these automatic downloads in the settings, giving you full control over your offline experience.

Apparently, the reason it took so long to implement offline mode is that Notion uses a complex database to store everything. They had to create a system to handle conflicts that arise when multiple people edit the same document offline. It's a complex problem, but they've finally cracked it. Now, I can use Notion anywhere, anytime and that's great!
